Hello Bay Area Activists!
RAN is inviting you to join us at the 37th annual Berkeley Earth Day Festival sponsored by the City of Berkeley!
This years Festival will combine cultural performances and speakers on a wide range of environmental issues. Featuring a celebration of the Bay Area National Dance Week and 50 years of East Bay Dance by the Shawl-Anderson Youth Ensemble, The Alice DiMicele Band, and the Amandla Poets. With activities including a Kid's Eco-art making area coordinated by the East Bay Depot for Creative Reuse, Over 150 booths representing businesses, craftspeople, community organizations, food vendors and government groups, Demonstrations of alternative energy including electric cars, strawbale structures, hemp products,and solar panels, a Climbing Wall, and organic food provided by the Berkeley farmer's Market.
Berkeley Earth Day will be the perfect opportunity to take action locally on the environmental issues that affect our community, our pocketbooks, and our daily activities. Help represent RAN at the event by tabling and spreading the word about our current campaigns to fight global climate change.
